New Day Music Studios

History
New Day Music Studios was formed in 2002 as an outgrowth of New Day Productions, a music performance company, to fill the need of private music instruction using qualified music specialists. NDMS combines state of the art studios and equipment with time-proven traditional teaching concepts. With this combination, New Day Music Studios achieves a high level of student success while continuing to optimize teaching skills and methods.

Owner Biography
Donna Wicks has a rich background in voice and piano education. She has performed as a member and soloist in numerous vocal ensembles and chorales. Donna also works as a music specialist in early childhood music and has taught at several pre-schools. She currently offers ECE music classes at NDMS.

Donna works closely with choosing and supervising the studio music teachers and sets a high standard for the quality of music education at the studio. Donna's nurturing and caring manner sets the character and warm personality of New Day Music Studios.

Len Wicks attended Vanguard University and California State University, Fullerton, where he graduated with a B.A. in Music. He currently works as a music specialist with the N.M.U.S.D. as well as a member of the adjunct music faculty at Concordia University Irvine. He is also on the faculty at Mariners Christian School, where he is the band teacher.

Len’s work as a private instructor spans 30 years and includes Crystal Cathedral Academy and Brethren Christian Schools, and includes tutoring on all brass and woodwind instruments. Len also works as a professional musician and has performed with numerous bands, orchestras and ensembles throughout the Los Angeles and Orange County areas.

Specialties
New Day Music Studios offers a one-on-one student teacher ratio with qualified music specialists. Instruction is geared to the individual musical and technical needs of each student while focusing on the successes each student accomplishes in the lesson and personal practice times.

New Day Music Studios offers two formal solo recitals per year plus various informal workshops further focusing on specific areas of performance and development in our students.
